Sefi Carmel wins special RCFM award for Best sound design
Sefi Carmel wins special RCFM award for Best sound design For the Feature film "Ahlaam"  by Mohamed El Daradji at Arte Mare festival in France. "Ahlaam" is a dazzling display of world class filmmaking using guerilla techniques. Producer-writer-director Mohamed al Daradji, formerly of Leeds Met film school, carried a camera in one hand and AK 47 in the other as he shot the film in Iraq during the height of the conflict. The crew  faced regular attacks and even a kidnapping, yet somehow managed to produce a film that could be an early outside favourite for the foreign language Oscar spot.
Even Thogh none of the actors were not avaiable for any  ADR work and the location sound was shot under very harsh conditions,  this film has won the "Best Sound Design" Award.
The Film was mixed in 5.1 surround Dolby Digital at London's Videosonics studio.
I place  a very high value on great communications and a  creative process with directors, editors and producers. I would love to contribute from my experience to your film or TV project!
